step1

fireworksClean your hands to remove any grease that could mark the pottery.

Choose a piece of ceramic then remove any dust or marks with a clean sponge. We have a wide range of ceramics to choose from costing from as little as £3. Add to that the studio fee of £4 to cover all paints, glazing and firing. This fee will cover one or several pieces of pottery a painter would like to complete in a session.

dragonCreate your own unique design. You can draw it onto some paper first or directly onto the ceramic. Pencil lead will burn off in the kiln. We are here to help and there are also plenty of books and stencils for inspiration.

step4Select your colours and squeeze some of each paint colour onto your palette. A small amount goes a long way so don't forget to add water. Don’t forget light colours will not show through dark so start light if you are painting an undercoat. One coat will give you a light, transparent colour. Three coats will result in a bolder, more opaque coverage. No need for more than three coats. Allow paint to dry between each application. Refer to the colour charts to see how the colours look after glazing and firing.

kilnLeave the rest to us. We will glaze and fire your piece for collection in a few days time.
